One of the greatest things about my job is meeting happy people like Andreya. She’s graduating from Ernest Righetti High School, and has her sights set on making a career out of helping others. She’s interested in a variety of majors to get her into the medical field: chemistry, biology, pre-med, and pre-pharmacy, to name a few. While she’s in high school, she’s been putting her passion for others to work in volunteering, for Altrusa’s Astra Club and Warriors Special Goat Program, mentoring children in raising goats for show. She has put an emphasis on mentoring others, especially children, and it’s a passion of hers to mentor the special needs students, enjoying connecting and working with them to achieve their goals. It’s no wonder her friends describe her as loving and kind!
Her session was a wonderful one, where we were able to capture her lovely personality. She shone for the camera, needing only a bit of encouragement, and was a natural at posing for the lens! Her vision for the session was for it to have ‘a little bit of everything’, and we accomplished this both in her wardrobe and in the variety of locations. I loved the pops of blue she had with her scarf against her white dress and gorgeous skin tone, and her cowboy boots gave her session photos a fantastic charm, true to who Andreya is. She’s not afraid to go out of her way for others, and loves to speak her mind. I asked her who she looks up to the most: “My mother, she’s such a hard worker and has sacrificed so much for me. I would love to be able to give her the world”, she said, “just as she’s done for me. She does whatever it takes to see people happy, as well as being happy for herself; she’s an exquisite role model.” What a great relationship they must share!
Andreya has a strength about her that I love to see in a young woman. Her five year goal captures what I see in her: “I hope to see myself continuing to be the strong, independent woman I am.” She said, “I hope to be progressing my career, but also hope to see myself enjoying life and living in the moment with the people that mean the most to me.” It’s a wise goal for any woman, especially one about to finish high school. She loved her session, and had some kind words to say about her experience. “I chose Jillian Marie Photography because, not only is she a marvelous photographer, but she is an amazing person.” She said, “Jillian makes being photographed a comfortable, relaxing experience for me, even when I’m a bit shy and timid.”
It’s wonderful to know that the passion I put into my work is paying off. I hope that Andreya always sees the value of each moment in life, and forever keeps that happy soul of hers! See what that looks like in the photos below.
