Alicia was another senior that I was lucky to photograph when I was home recently in Sioux Falls. There is nothing like going home, and getting to do some senior sessions while I was there was icing on the cake. I’ve known this lovely young lady for many years, and have watched her grow into a passionate woman with a strong will and fierce mind. She is very connected within her high school (Tri Valley) and she played softball, volleyball, and basketball, as well as participating in track. In addition to those many athletic endeavors, she is active in the FFA, FCCLA, and the FBLA. She’s a girl with a big heart, and she also enjoys mentoring in her spare time. Of course, she makes time to be with the ones she loves most, and when she can, she enjoys being with her friends after football games, and going to the school dances. Her faith is another thing that is a cornerstone in her life, and mission work is something that is close to heart. “I love the feeling I get when I can help make someone’s life better, and getting to see the children’s faces on missions trip is something irreplaceable”, she adds.
Her friends describe her as someone who is loyal and caring, and she claims these characteristics were inherited from her sweet mom. “I look up to my mom as my personal hero, because she is beautiful and smart”, she explains, “She is strong willed and has taught me everything I know. She’s made me a better person, and I don’t know where I would be without her, because she has always stuck by my side through the toughest parts of life.” Once she has completed high school, Alicia plans to compile her love for others and her hard work ethic by becoming a Veterinarian. “I chose Jill for my senior photos because she is a close family friend, and she was great at making the photoshoot fun and comfortable. I loved the photos!”, she concluded.
Thank you, Alicia, for such a beautiful day. I loved capturing your fiery spirit and bright mind, and I am thrilled for you as you close this chapter in your life.
