The most important people in your life are the ones who push you to be a better person. They are the ones who cheer you on when you have success, and let you cry on their shoulders when things go wrong. They bring you ice cream when you need a girl’s night in, and are happy to don their favorite high heels to go out on the town! For Maddie, these people are her mom and her sister, who she says “have pushed me to be the person I am today, and to do my best in sports and in school”. This beautiful girl is so inspiring herself, and I know that there are surely so many young woman who would cite her as their own role mode. She’s bright and kind, and her friends would add that she is outgoing and funny. Active in sports, she says her favorite high school memory would be making the league first team, and participating in water polo, softball, and soccer. I can tell that her time in athletics has made her extremely strong and easygoing, and she’s also held down a part time job with a caterer.
When it comes to career, she plans to become an orthopedic surgeon, and she’s been actively preparing for this with good grades and her volunteer work at the local hospital. “I will major in Bio to become an Orthopedic Surgeon”, she explained, “I chose this because it is something that greatly interests me, and I want a job in the medical field. I’ll be an Intern to learn before I work up to owning my own practice one day”. At the time of her session, she planned to attend Cal Poly. For her senior session, Maddie planned to have a “girly” style, and we definitely achieved this, along with a terrific day spent together! Her outfits and makeup worked perfectly to show off her personality (I loved the mix of stylish kimonos and florals), and the sun really cooperated with us on the day we met up. I can’t wait to watch her pursue her dream of becoming a surgeon!
