What does it take to be successful in today’s world? More than we realize. Of course, everyone’s definition of success is different, but the more I work with my junior and senior clients, the more I have found that they are more driven, passionate, and excited about life than any class before them. I have seen a trend of high schoolers who really love being part of a bigger movement, something more than just themselves. Whether it’s standing up against bullying, human trafficking, or for the rights of people in other countries, that always inspire me to do just a little bit more! Emersen is graduating from Tea Area High School in South Dakota. She is an absolute gem, and someone I have known for many years (when I was there visiting, I did this session)…I consider her like one of my nieces. Em is very passionate about protecting our earth, and in finding new ways for us to take care of our beautiful planet. It’s just one of the many things I love about this bright and fun girl. We did this session around Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and laughed more than anything! She is always pulling a funny face or a silly pose, which cracked me up, but as you can see, she is also stunningly gorgeous!
During her years at her high school, she has been involved with the student council, and works part-time at her local DSW shoe store. She enjoys spending time at the beach when she gets the chance, and her friends would describe her as vibrant, and creative. Another one of her passions has been art and design, as well as fashion design. She hopes to attend a school after graduation that will allow her to pursue these interests seriously, and adds, “I am interested in fashion design, because I love the patterns and textures, and the way that clothing comes together”. In five years, she hopes to be in a career that she loves! These days, success is marked by many different milestones, but I have no doubt that with her kind heart and her talent for design, she will be successful in any arena!
